Dr. Nicolas Morel-Journel, of the Centre Hospitalier Lyon-Sud (France), has developed and transferred the concept to the corpora cavernosa in metoidioplasties through a series of trials.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph -->Metoidioplasty is a surgical gender-reassignment solution, an alternative to phalloplasty for FTM patients. It involves the release of the hypertrophied clitoris\u2014hypertrophied through testosterone treatments\u2014and the construction of a small penis resembling the penis of a cis man. The surgeon can then also seal off of the vagina, lengthen the urinary tract, and construct a scrotum.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:image {\"align\":\"right\",\"width\":220,\"height\":225} --><\/p>\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignright is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.zsimplants.ch\/tblg\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/Dr_MorelJournel_Metoidioplastia-e1510249745476-293x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"220\" height=\"225\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<p><!-- \/wp:image --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph -->After surgery, the involved tissues can retract, thus reducing the final size of the neo-penis.
